Judy Schmid and David Rabkin Artist Talk: “Our Lives, Work, and Inspiration”

Join encaustic artist, Judy Schmid and original photographer, David Rabkin in conversation at the Marblehead Arts Association (MAA), as they explore with you how they became the artists they are today, why they do what they do, and how they do it. David and Judy hope the similarities and differences that emerge will enrich your experience of art, stimulate your questions, and help you develop new insights about art and artists. This free October 19th talk is part of the MAA Fall Exhibit, running until Sunday November 2nd, with a varied selection of inspiring artwork in seven galleries at the historic Hooper Mansion. Judy Schmid is showing her abstract collection, “On and Off the Wall; Encaustic Monoprints” and David Rabkin's photography exhibit, “Upon Further Reflection…”, invites viewers to explore perception and perspective. The Fall Exhibit also includes an extensive Member &amp; Youth Photography Exhibit, and the ground-breaking Digital Art and Animation Exhibit. The MAA galleries are open Wednesday-Sunday, 12-5pm. Admission is free. Donations gratefully received.
