Good Harbor Beach | Gloucester, MA 

A beautiful wide flat beach with soft sand excellent for walking, body surfing, and volleyball. At low tide, walk out to Salt Island and while at high tide enjoy body surfing or boogie boards. Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Good Harbor Beach is one of the Carry In-Carry Out beaches in Gloucester so please carry out any trash with you when you leave. Get there via the MBTA Commuter Rail:<ul><li>Closest Commuter Rail station: Rockport</li><li>Take the Newbury/Rockport Line.</li></ul>Beach Information: Restrooms and showers are available as well from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. During periods of inclement weather, all facilities may close early.  Gloucester Beach Information &amp; Regulations The City of Gloucester welcomes you to our beautiful, award-winning beaches and wants your visit to be memorable. Gloucester is a premier spot for beachgoers visiting from near and far.  Before visiting our beautiful beaches, please familiarize yourself with our <a href="https://gloucester-ma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/10388/Beach-Regs-Effective-6-28-2024?bidId=">rules and regulations</a> and available amenities (which vary by beach).   For the safety and enjoyment of others, the City’s regulations prohibit alcohol, flotation devices of any type, and dogs. Certified service dogs are welcome to accompany their owner. Resident beach stickers allow parking in the lots at Good Harbor Beach, Wingaersheek Beach, and Stage Fort Park. They also allow Gloucester residents to use the composting facility and other city beaches where it is posted "Resident Sticker Parking". 2025 resident beach stickers are now available for purchase <a href="https://gloucesterma.portal.opengov.com/categories/1082">online</a>. In-person sales for 2025 resident beach stickers is open as of May 6, 2025 in the Kryouz Auditorium (2nd Floor) at Gloucester City Hall, Monday-Wednesday 8:30am to 3:30pm, Thursday 8:30am to 6:00pm &amp; Friday 8:30am to 12:00pm. Please note: In-person Sales only accepts CASH or CHECK.  Non-Resident Online Beach Parking Reservation System Our beaches fill up very quickly in the summertime as Gloucester is a world-renowned vacation destination and a popular day-trip spot. The City will be utilizing Blinkay, a beach parking reservation system, for non-resident beachgoers. Reservations can be made up 10 days in advance on the Blinkay mobile app or <a href="https://gloucester.blinkay.app/login">Blinkay website</a>. Reservations are required for non-resident parking at Good Harbor Beach, Wingaersheek Beach, and Stage Fort Park from Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day. Check <a href="https://webapp-usa.blinkay.app/integraMobile/Occupancy/Gloucester">non-resident parking availability</a> using the new website to see how many spaces are open and estimated weather up to 10 days in advance. Reservations are not required and fees will not be collected after Labor Day for Good Harbor, Wingaersheek, and Stage Fort Park.  Reservations are non-refundable, and cash will no longer be accepted at the gate for parking.
