Funny Uncle Cabaret

In its 25th year of theme and variation, PDM's "Funny Uncle" series adapts this 2025 version to include dance, singing choirs of kids, and a cabaret number or two - all celebrating families we choose, rather than only the ones we are born to.<br><br>In addition to PDM's core collaborators performing their own works, guest artist Robert McFletcher Jones will corral several youth from various children's choirs from around the Boston hub to perform. Guests from the region's cabaret scene will offer unique songs not usually considered holidays-related, with musical director Brian Patton on the piano. Peter will perform a miniature dance- hands only! - a retelling of the original Funny Uncle story: the quest for his sister to adopt her daughter through a tangled web of politics that would otherwise stand in the way of the creation of family.<br>
