Fundraising Dinner for Oido with Chef Gabe Erales

On September 24, Chef Christian Irabién will partner with Chef Gabe Erales of <a href="https://www.ometeotexmex.com/">Ometeo</a> to host a <a href="https://resy.com/cities/washington-dc/venues/amparo-fondita/events/carnalitos-cocinando-2025-09-24">six-course fundraising dinner</a> benefitting Oido. Two seatings will be offered, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $175 per person and include six courses and a welcome margarita. <a href="https://www.oido.co/">Oido</a> provides professional culinary training for at-risk Mayan youth in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Chef Irabién serves as the organization’s Culinary Director, and Chef Erales is its Executive Director. Chef and Mixologist Collaborations Amparo will also host special collaborations during Hispanic Heritage Month, including:<ul><li>A pop-up at MITA on October 12 </li><li>A collaboration with 2fifty Texas BBQ at Amparo from October 14–19 (details coming soon)</li><li>Others in the works–and details will be available soon.  </li></ul>About Chef Christian Irabién: Christian Irabién is a Mexican American chef with culinary experience in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and France. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and raised between Mexico and the U.S., he is the chef-owner of Amparo Fondita, where he highlights regional Mexican cooking through seasonal and local ingredients. About Amparo Fondita: Amparo Fondita is a modern Mexican restaurant and bar in Dupont Circle led by Chef Christian Irabién. The restaurant has received a Michelin Bib Gourmand (2024), a place on Washingtonian’s 100 Very Best Restaurants (2025), recognition as one of the Washington Post’s Best New Restaurants (2024), inclusion in The Eater 38, and Irabién’s recognition as Rising Culinary Star of the Year at the RAMMYS (2022).
