Free & Cheap Water Taxis & Ferries Around Boston Harbor: Summer 2025

1) East Boston Ferry
The MBTA runs the East Boston Ferry service from Long Wharf (Marriott Waterfront) to Lewis Mall Wharf (Tall Ship East Boston) for just $2.40 one way.
2) Boston Launch Company Boat Shuttle Service
Boston Launch Company began a free boat shuttle service in the summer of 2017. The water taxi connects four restaurants: Reel House Seaport, The Tall Ship, Reel House East Boston, and Pier 6 Charlestown. The service now costs $4 per person for a one-way ride, or you can get an All Day Pass for $10. Tickets can be purchased on the Token Transit app.
