Free Summer 2026 Fridays on the Commuter Rail

Commuter Rail rides are completely free every Friday across Massachusetts this summer, running through June, July, and August 2026. Skip the traffic, ditch the parking, and take the train anywhere on the Commuter Rail network at no cost—whether you’re heading into Boston, out to the coast, or exploring somewhere new. The deal applies to all standard Commuter Rail service, including holidays like Juneteenth and July 3. (Note: regular fares still apply for special event trains like Boston Stadium service and the CapeFLYER.) A rare zero-dollar ride to anywhere the tracks go.
