In honor of the legacies of queer communities here in the city of Boston, come enjoy a night of theater-making, dancing, music, and other activities during a summer block party hosted by the Gardner Museum and The Theater Offensive! First come, first-served.  Join a tour led by Museum Educator Boy Nirvana that takes a closer look at how we can use history and art to challenge dominant narratives in museums.  5:30 - 6:30 PM &amp; 7:30 - 8:30 PM | DJ RAYVINO  Jordan Garden  Listen to the sounds of Dorchester native DJ RAYVINO!  5:30 PM - 6:30 PM &amp; 6:30- 7:30 PM | Theater of Union Presents: Queer As a Map of Love  Calderwood Hall. First come, first-served  Through story circles, collective creation, and performance, discover how queerness can be a map to true love and understanding in this workshop.  6 - 7 PM | VLA Dance Workshop with Victoria Awkward  Jordan Garden. First-come, first-served.  Good vibes and great tunes guaranteed!  5 - 8 PM | Stitching Queer Futures  Bertucci Education Studio  Inspired by the AIDs Quilt, Polly Thayer Starr Visiting Studio Artist Des Bennett invites folks to use fabric markers to create a unique quilt block that will be added to a collaborative quilt honoring queer futures. We’re open late and offering free admission on the first Thursday evening of each month! Stop by and soak in the beauty of the Gardner in a different light, 3 pm through 9 pm on the first Thursday of each month beginning in October.  Café G will be open from 5-8 pm for dinner and drinks. Advance registration is encouraged for free timed entry tickets for Museum general admission.   Registration opens two weeks before the event for the general public and four weeks in advance for members. Reserve your tickets online by clicking the button above.   Limited tickets will be available in-person at the Museum’s main entrance, starting at 3 pm, the day of the event.
