Eastern Edge Food Hall Opening Early 2026 in the Heart of Kendall Square

Eastern Edge — an 11,000-square-foot culinary hub opening in early 2026 — is coming to 290 Main Street on the eastern edge of MIT’s campus. The new food hall will feature nine vendors, with the first wave announced: Clover, Juicy Jay’s, Perillas, Everybody Gotta Eat, and Viet Citron. Developed by Gather Group, the space is designed for community, creativity, and accessibility, offering seating for 275 and flexible areas for activations, gatherings, and private events. The design blends contemporary finishes with warm, organic elements and preserved industrial details from the building’s historic past. Eastern Edge will also house two expansive bars pouring craft cocktails, rotating regional beers, world-class wines, and a range of non-alcoholic options — plus a Venetian-inspired café that transforms from a daytime espresso and pastry spot into a lively bàcaro-style hangout each evening.
