Christkindlmarkt - German Holiday Market

The much anticipated GISB Christkindlmarkt will take place for one day only on Saturday, December 5, 2026. Get ready for a winter wonderland full of surprises. Artisan Vendors Our German Holiday Market is back, and we can’t wait to share it with you! Come explore an amazing selection of talented artisans offering unique, handcrafted treasures—it’s the perfect place to find thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends while enjoying a festive, cheerful atmosphere. These traditional ornaments are full of history and charm, adding a genuine touch of German holiday magic to any home. Plus, every purchase helps support GISB and our school community. Kids’ Activities We’ve got plenty of festive fun planned for kids! Little ones can get creative in our two holiday-themed arts and crafts rooms, and toddlers will love the special play area in the gym. All kids can enjoy our ever-popular petting zoo is back, giving everyone a chance to meet some adorable, friendly animals. Seasonal Sweets & Savories Get ready to dive into festive flavor! Enjoy authentic German bratwurst, sip a steaming mug of spiced mulled wine, or enjoy a crisp, refreshing beer. Got a sweet tooth? Treat yourself to warm waffles, decadent cakes, and fluffy cotton candy that melts in your mouth. Hot coffee and cold drinks will be on hand to keep you cozy and refreshed. Come hungry and taste the magic of the season! Pop-Up Portrait Studio Make memories that last a lifetime! Join Natalie Nigito Photography at the Christkindlmarkt for a festive family portrait. Book Fair Step into a world of stories and holiday magic! Our Book Fair is filled with books for all ages and is the perfect place to find gifts that inspire a love of reading. Every purchase helps support our GISB libraries, so we can grow and share even more wonderful stories. Come explore, discover, and make reading part of your holiday celebrations! Caroling Let your voice join the chorus of holiday joy! At 6:00 p.m., our students from both the Upper and Lower Campuses will gather on the stairs in the Holton Garden for a festive caroling sing-along.
