Cambridge Chamber Singers Presents: The American Patchwork: 250 Years of Choral Music

On May 9 and 10, 2026, the Cambridge Chamber Singers will present a concert of Colonial, Romantic, jazz, and contempory music reflecting the wonderful variety that American music has to offer. The program includes works by Justin Morgan (who “had a horse”) and the maverick Charles Ives, as well as a sample spiritual,&nbsp;Keep Your Hand on that Plow, Hold On.&nbsp;The jazz set includes Gershwin’s&nbsp;Summertime, Jerome Kern’s&nbsp;All the Things You Are,&nbsp;and the toe-tapping&nbsp;Tuxedo Junction.&nbsp;The program is culminates with Samuel Barber’s masterful, moving&nbsp;Agnus Dei.
