CAFE DU CHEAPE ARTISTE: ALLSTON CHRISTMAS

Cafe du Cheap Artiste is a performance open mic, presented every few months in a variety of Boston area spaces. Each Cafe has a (loose) theme - pieces can be related to that theme, or not! Please also feel free to dress up in appropriate thematic fashion, or not! The theme for the September 14th iteration is ALLSTON CHRISTMAS. It's time to load up the uhaul and join the festivities! At the Cafe, ANYONE can do ANYTHING they want!! Do you want recount a harrowing story of your September 1st move gone awry? Can YOU put together an Ikea chair in under two minutes? Do you want to perform an interpretive dance about the perils of Storrow Drive? We want to see it! All types of performance are welcome: poetry! drag! puppetry! stand up! music! dance! improv! theater! anything else you can think of! But, keep in mind: each piece has a strict two minute time limit. If you go over the two minute mark, you will be (kindly) played off by the Goddamn Brass Band! <a href="https://forms.gle/qQZzfw5xh1cTm3bR6">RSVP or sign up to perform here!</a> Doors at 7pm Performances at 7:30pm $10 suggested donation, no one turned away for lack of funds!
