And although we love a local coffee shop, small businesses can’t sustain endless laptop traffic.  We’ve chosen great remote work spaces that go beyond the typical cafe, offering free WiFi, printing options, bookable conference rooms, or other amenities. Plus, trying out a designed-for-remote work spot allows you to meet other remote workers. You can get coffee and espresso beverages and order off a full food menu, but you can also hook up to free WiFi, utilize plentiful outlets, and even book a nook workspace or small conference room.  3) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/venture-cafe-cambridge-thursday-gathering-cambridge-411320">Venture Café Cambridge: Thursday Gathering</a> When: Thursdays  Where: Kendall Square Info: Work from the Venture Cafe at the Cambridge Innovation Center on Thursdays and you can attend an after-hours networking event with other creators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. Each gathering is themed and many feature a guest speaker.  4) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/boston-public-library-boston-400038">The Boston Public Library Kirstein Business Library &amp; Innovation Center</a> When: Daily Where: Back Bay  Info: The Boston Public Library is a beloved workplace with tons of seating and outlets, an on-site coffee shop, free WiFI and printing, and WGBH live broadcasting. But the Kirstein Business Library &amp; Innovation Center is an underutilized remote workspace. Book a private conference room or workspace and get access to a 3-D printer, small business coaching, Adobe software, and more, all for free.  5) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/work-remote-at-the-harvard-university-richard-a-and-susan-f-smith-campus-center-cambridge-445813">The Harvard University Richard A. and Susan F. Smith Campus Center</a> When: Daily Where: Harvard Square Info: This meeting ground for the Harvard community (and visitors!) offers a wide array of flexible spaces. Cafe-style tables are great for solo work sessions and coffee intake, and groupings of couches and comfortable chairs are great for team brainstorming sessions or on site meetings. You may even get a free concert if someone gets to work at the on-site piano.  6) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/the-state-library-of-massachusetts-boston-1010961">The State Library of Massachusetts</a> When: Weekdays Where: Beacon Hill Info: It’s worth going through security at the Massachusetts State House to use this free and fairly unknown resource. There are plenty of tables for working, free WiFi, and remote printing at the State Library of Massachusetts. The mezzanine space is particularly out of the way, and you can book the library conference room for small meetings as well.  7) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/canalside-food-drink-at-cambridgeside-food-hall-now-open-cambridge-1008855">CanalSide</a> When: Daily Where: East Cambridge Info: Though it’s dubbed as a food hall, the CanalSide space inside the Cambridgeside mall is a remote work dream. Flooded with natural light from huge windows, it features tons of seating and outlets at almost every chair, plus free WiFi. You can snag food (and cocktails) from the vendors on the perimeter, but it’s not required to enjoy the space.  8) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/lyrik-boston-new-play-stay-work-destination-back-bay-boston-1004016">Citizen M</a> When: Daily Where: West End and Back Bay Info: Hotels can be hit or miss to work from, but Citizen M in North Station or at Lyrik Back Bay is primed for a productive day. The expansive lobby has tons of different workspaces plus free WiFi and lots of outlets. You can get a membership or just grab some food &amp; drinks and join for the day. 9) <a href="https://joyraft.com/event/work-from-tavern-of-tales-boston-1030971">Tavern of Tales</a> When: Weekdays Where: Mission Hill Info: Work from Tavern of Tales on weekdays with free WiFi, plenty of coffee, quiet rooms, and on-site printing. No membership required. Open for remote work every weekday until 5pm.
