Blue Heron & DÜNYA Album Preview Party

Join Mehmet Ali Sanlıkol, Scott Metcalfe, Beth Bahia Cohen, Jason McStoots, and George Lernis for a party to celebrate and support our upcoming release! Lessons from Nightingales: Songs of Sufi Mysteries&nbsp;features world premiere recordings of two pieces by Sanlıkol: the&nbsp;a cappella&nbsp;work&nbsp;Devran&nbsp;(2017) and&nbsp;The Triumph&nbsp;(2024), for vocal ensemble and Turkish instruments (played by members of DÜNYA), composed for Blue Heron’s 25th birthday. Lessons from Nightingales: Songs of Sufi Mysteries&nbsp;will be released in August on the Blue Heron label. We just need to raise a few more thousand dollars to put it over the finish line. Join us at the lovely home of our longtime supporter and gracious friend John Carey in Wellesley Hills, for a preview of the album (including videos), some music (Turkish and medieval), and light refreshments including Turkish treats.
