Transport yourself to iconic flower markets and gardens around the globe at The Dome’s newest experience: Bloomroom. Part visual show (featuring state-of-the-art overhead projection of floral artworks by iconic DC artist Chris Pyrate and Australian digital artist Laura Alice), and part seasonal dining and drinking experience (with spring cocktails and small plates), Bloomroom is an immersive spring pop-up unlike any other. The Bloomroom will take guests on a truly unforgettable immersive 90-minute visual journey of one-of-a-kind floral artworks from international artist/designer <a href="https://www.instagram.com/chrispyrate">Chris Pyrate</a>, projected above and 360 degrees around the walls of the dome. Australian digital artist <a href="https://www.lauraalice.com.au/">Laura Alice</a> brings Pyrate’s creations to life, animating and projection-mapping the scenes to flow seamlessly above. The animations feature artist Chris Pyrate’s iconic cherry blossoms, shifting between night and day as branches grow and the sky fills with millions of falling blooms, moving in sync with the rhythm of the seasons across the planet. As the dome's visuals unfold, Bloomroom’s drinks offer a taste of spring, taking inspiration (via taste, scent and color) from flower markets around the world. Imagine bright, bubbly spritzes, fresh citrus flavors in grapefruit and sage gin &amp; tonics, and boozy cherry soda floats. Bloomroom’s spring menu embraces a world of flavors, inspired by the spirit of spring's vibrant flower markets. Chefs Nathan Beauchamp and Sam George have drawn inspiration from around the globe, from DC’s own iconic cherry blossoms, to the fragrant stalls of Amsterdam's Bloemenmarkt and London's Columbia Road. Guests can expect shareable small plates that celebrate the hues of spring, from bright rose and hibiscus, to vibrant english pea and sunset yellow beets, all mirroring the splashes of color within Pyrate's artwork. Several dishes also feature floral infusions, such as edible flowers and herb-infused oils, plus highlight the bounty of seasonal produce like local asparagus, greens and farmstand berries.
