All She Wrote x The Lilac People Presents: A Night at the El Dorado

In celebration of Milo Todd’s debut novel, THE LILAC PEOPLE, join us as we go back in time to an era of queer joy: 1920s Berlin. If you love Cabaret or Chicago, flappers or hoochie coochie dances, it’s time to get a wiggle on! A NIGHT AT THE ELDORADO will feature dazzling performances of dance, song, hoops, veils, and more. Hosted by Hot Toddy, performers will include: Butch Sassidy, Fortune Cookie, Elsa Riot, Femme Brulee, Jane Doe, Jessicalee Skary, Jolie LaVie, Legs Hershey, Timbo, Tori Visage For readers of All the Light We Cannot See and In Memoriam, THE LILAC PEOPLE is a moving and deeply humane story about a trans man who must relinquish the freedoms of prewar Berlin to protect the ones he loves. THE LILAC PEOPLE publishes on 4/29/25 through Counterpoint Press. All She Wrote Books, Boston’s own feminist- and queer-owned bookstore, will be selling copies of the book during the show, and guests may also pre-order the book with the ticket bundle option. Milo Todd will be available to sign copies after. Put on your glad rags, grab your giggle water, and put up the dough for a night that’s sultry and schwul! We look forward to seeing you!
