2026 FIFA World Cup Fan Festival at Boston City Hall Plaza

Boston will host an official FIFA World Cup Fan Festival at City Hall Plaza, creating a centralized gathering space for fans in the heart of downtown during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Announced by Mayor Michelle Wu alongside Governor Maura Healey, the festival will showcase Boston’s vibrant culture while giving fans a place to gather even if they’re not attending matches in person. The fan festival is expected to feature a large jumbotron for live match watch parties, along with live entertainment, local food &amp; drink vendors, and interactive experiences &amp; games, transforming City Hall Plaza into a hub for World Cup viewing and celebration. The festival will coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which includes seven matches hosted at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. State officials estimate the tournament will attract more than 2 million international visitors to Massachusetts and generate over $1 billion in economic impact statewide. 📅 Dates Likely June 11 – July 19, 2026 (Although official festival dates have not been confirmed, the activation is expected to run throughout the duration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, from the opening match to the final.)
