15th Annual Presidents' Day Festival

Join us at the JFK Presidential Library's President's Day Festival featuring presidential storytelling, hands-on make-and-take activities, live musical performances, and more for families of all ages. Actors portraying President John Adams, First Lady Abigail Adams, and Alice Roosevelt, daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt, will share stories and engage visitors in historical conversations, including opportunities to reflect on the 250th Anniversary of the United States. In recognition of the America250 celebration, visitors can sign their names to a copy of the Declaration of Independence or write their dreams and aspirations for the next 250 years as part of a Wish Tree for the country. Additional activities will highlight the history of the animal companions who lived in the White House, creating a fun connection to the Library’s special exhibition, Presidential Pets. Visitors will be able to take part in maker activities including crafting Kennedy campaign hats, personalized campaign posters, popsicle stick flags, and more. The festival will feature other activities including presidential jeopardy, an opportunity to write a letter to the president, and join a pet-centered, Kennedy-style State Dinner. Festival-goers can enjoy Museum tours and activities that bring history to life for all ages. The festival will close with a special free concert by the Harvard Din &amp; Tonics, who will perform Kennedy campaign songs and popular music from the 1960s and today. Special festival activities are free with paid adult admission. The concert is free for all. The festival is especially appropriate for ages 7 and up.
