Honestly, I’d start on a wall
Little to no backswing, up close to start…as you get more and more comfortable “dinking” against the wall, you can begin to move further back. You’ll learn practical tennis. It’s less fun playing if you can’t rally consistently with someone else, and this helps you build that control and comfort.

USTA tennis in the parks
They have a few locations across Massachusetts but I have done the lessons in Brookline and had a great experience! I think it was about $80 and we also got a racquet so very affordable.
