Recommendations for staycation/quick getaway in and around Boston?
My husband is turning 30 next month and I’d love to do a staycation/quick few day getaway in or near Boston. We don’t have a car so commuter rail/t is preferred but willing to rent a car! Would love ideas for towns, cute hotels/bnbs, etc

Beauport in Gloucester
A quick commuter rail ride away and they provide free shuttle to their amazing restaurants in downtown Gloucester. The hotel and their onsite bar/restaurant/spa/pool are just amazing!

A little further but portland!!
There is so much to do here: cape elizabeth, peaks island, walk around downtown, lots of breweries, try the potato donuts and lobster rolls!! There’s a bus from bos to portland or you can rent a car

Commuter rail up to Salem or Newburyport could be nice. Bothe great towns with good restaurants and hotels. The Salem stop is right downtown. Newburyport one you’ll need to take a cab from.
