Best Indian restaurants in Boston?
Just moved back to the city and looking for good Indian restaurants! Would love some recs for North and South Indian as well as a mix of authentic but also newer/more fusion-y/fancier spots as well.

Punjab Palace in Allston
My second Indian food pick, although I’ve only ordered takeout from here. It’s on the inexpensive side but the flavor and quality are still there!

Himalayan Kitchen in Somerville is amazing! Usually do takeout but you can eat in as well.

I second the Mela recommendation, but India Quality is my go to for take out in the Fenway/Kenmore area! Really reasonable prices too.

Masala Square
It’s in Union Square and is my favorite Indian in Somerville! Insanely flavorful and every dish is absolutely delicious. My favorite is chicken curry and samosas. The only thing is it can take a bit to deliver if you order takeouts.
