Any luck with meetup groups?

Looking to meet some people in Boston and just nerd out and make genuine friends. I’ve seen a few ads for nerdy/introvert groups on Meetup, but has anyone had luck with that site or any Facebook groups that feel like a place to make friends rather than network or meet a romantic partner? Honestly just want to find a squad to, like, marathon LOTR with lol

    Timeleft?

As others have a suggested, The ‘make friends after college’ Facebook group is good, but beyond that, have you tried Timeleft? Dinner with five strangers? I tried it myself and it was pretty great

    Bake Club Boston's Cookie Swap

I’ve met some great people going to meetup groups so I decided to start my own. If you like baking (or at least eating sweets), you should check it out :)
