Wild Wings Butterfly Observatory at NOVA Wild Zoo

The moment you've been waiting for is finally here! Our breathtaking butterfly observatory, Wild Wings is NOW OPEN! Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of butterflies. Tickets can be purchased on our website <a href="https://novawild.org/product/wildwingsbutterflies/">here</a> or in person for $8. FAQ: When is the Wild Wings Butterfly Observatory open? Wild Wings will be open until the Fall. Tickets are available for sale now on our Buy Tickets page, they are in addition to the General Admission tickets for this seasonal experience. Once Wild Wings is open its operating hours will be 9 am – 5:30 pm daily. When is the Wild Wings Butterfly Observatory open? All children under the age of 13 are required to be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, every 10 students or children admitted into the Butterfly Pavilion must be accompanied by at least one adult. What is the capacity of the Pavilion? The Pavilion capacity is limited to 15 visitors at a time. To avoid overcrowding, visitors are not admitted until capacity allows. If at capacity, once guests exit more guests will be admitted. What accessibility services are available for visitors with disabilities?  The Butterfly Pavilion is wheelchair accessible. Service animals are not permitted within the Wild Wings Walkthrough for the safety of our butterflies. Can I feed the butterflies?  No, we will not be selling nectar to feed the butterflies. Can I bring outside food into the Wild Wings Butterfly Observatory? No outside food is allowed within the butterfly habitat for their safety and well being.  How much is entry to the Wild Wings Butterfly Observatory? Entry is $8 a person for ages 2-99. Under 2 is free. This cost is to cover the specialized plants and foliage required to feed the butterflies, care of pupae, staffing, and maintenance of the butterfly specific structure required by USDA regulation. This is a unique immersive seasonal experience that is only offered during the summer months.  When is the Wild Wings Butterfly Observatory open?  The Wild Wings Walkthrough will be open 9 am to 5:30 pm daily. This is a seasonal experience only offered during the Summer.  What should I wear?  Butterflies are attracted to bright flowering colors. We recommend wearing a bright colored shirt or clothing to increase the likelihood of butterflies to interact with guests. We also recommend closed-toed shoes. Can butterflies bite? No, butterflies can not bite and pose no safety risk.
